Photo Storage 🤝🏻Meets Dating Apps: SwipeWipe

If you’re like me, you're constantly reaching a notification that your phone has reached maximum capacity and your storage is low! Part of it is my job in social media, but a large portion of it is my incessant need to take a million photos of a million things and never go back and delete them. I’m also guilty of editing photos and then having duplicates upon duplicates of photos that I likely will never even look at again, but for memory sake cannot part with.

You may be like me and have trust issues. I’ve tried different kinds of apps that remove copies and duplicates of photos to clear storage but the problem is I don’t feel like the app’s decision of what is deemed delete-able is something I myself would remove!

You may be in that group of people that got married in your early 20s and never got to enter the treacherous world of dating apps. I’m mostly happy for you but there is a slight joy and thrill in the swipe left, swipe right journey to love! Although for the most part it really breaks apart the experience and makes it feel sort of shallow and empty swiping based on photos and prompts!

You may be wondering why I’ve introduced dating apps into the mix and why they have anything to do with phone storage, enter SwipeWipe! This app breaks up your photo library by month/year and allows you to go through each month and swipe left and right and photos that you want to remove. It has features that allow you to go back and undo a quick decision and at the very end before you delete anything it shows you the month in summary and all the photos you’ve chosen to delete and you can take one more peak if needed before saying goodbye forever!

Goodbye photos hello storage space! I’ve so far swiped through 50 months, deleted 1746 images and saved 10.52 GB and it is only just the beginning! So easy to do while you’re in transport, watching a show etc. If you’re not finding love on dating apps your swiping might as well be productive in other ways!

Anyway had to share because SwipeWipe is a very good thing!
